TELEVISION PRODUCTION

HOLLYWOOD, NEW ENGLAND

In January 2008, Scott was invited to be a guest on a talk show covering the arts and entertainment scene in New England, aptly titled “Hollywood, New England.” After appearing in one episode, he was asked to be the show’s Assistant Director for a few episodes. A few months later, and he was named Director and Associate Producer. This show was a great experience for Scott to network with people in the business, but to also direct television, something he hadn’t done since his days at Franklin Pierce as an undergrad.

Together with the hosts John Campanello and Gail Scott-Key as well as other guest hosts that would fill in and the crew, many episodes were recorded at the Bedford Community Television station in Bedford, New Hampshire. Then after a while, they started to do remote episodes. A few locations that “Hollywood, New England” traveled to outside of the Granite State were, Salem, Massachusetts for a special Halloween episode, a dance studio in Woburn, Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Country Music Association Awards in Randolph, Massachusetts.

Co-Creator/Co-Executive Producer, Joe P. Cummings wanted Scott to approve his shot set-up before taping four episodes back-to-back at the Granite Media Center in Tilton. They all came together as a team, and it was probably one of their best shoots ever.
